Child Care Experience
I took care of Genesis, 4 years old, from January 2017 to December 2024. My responsibilities included babysitting, playing with him, preparing meals, supervising daily activities, ensuring his safety, and helping with homework and studying for exams. I looked after Valentina, a baby, from August 2020 to June 2025. I helped with feeding, bathing, supervising, playing, and putting her down for naps. I cared for David, 14 years old, from January 2023 to January 2024. I assisted him with homework and studying for exams. Over the years, I have frequently looked after the children of my parents’ friends as needed. Occasionally, I have supported a close friend with her baby since birth, helping her navigate the first months of motherhood. I have also provided occasional tutoring to a younger child of a friend, about one hour per week.

I want to be an Au Pair because I love spending time with children and learning from different cultures. For me, it is the perfect way to improve my English while doing something meaningful, becoming part of a family, helping with their children, and growing personally. As the oldest sister in a large family, I grew up caring for my younger siblings and have always been trusted with responsibility. I also spend many weekends with my little cousins, going to the park, swimming, or simply playing together. In addition, during family gatherings, I often looked after my mother’s friends’ children since I was the oldest. These experiences have taught me to be responsible, patient, and caring. I truly enjoy being with kids and making them feel safe and happy, which I believe makes me a strong fit for the program.

From 01/2021 to 01/2025 I cared for children ages 3 to 5 for 2 hours a day. We would do indoor activities such as coloring, drawing, singing, reading stories, feeding and helping with childcare. From 10/2024 to 12/2024 I cared for Sebastian (5) and Ximena (11) for 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. I would take them to the park to play, help the older girl with homework, read stories and get them ready for bedtime. From 06/2024 to 07/2024 I cared for Atalia (1) for 8 hours a day, 7 days a week. I would assist with her activities included changing her diaper, giving her a bottle, bathing her, playing with her, taking her to bed, taking her to bed, taking her to the swimming pool and taking care of her meals during the day and also organize her clothes.

From 05/2020 to 09/2023 I cared for Saray (4) for 6 hours a day, 6 days a week. When she was a newborn I was responsible for bottle preparation, bath preparation, changing clothes, removing gas, and regulating sleep. When she was 3 years old: helping with different daily tasks, teaching her to talk, potty training, teaching her the names of animals and their sounds, teaching her the names of colors, playing educational games with her, teaching her to do small sums with fruits, and teaching her to read small words. From 09/2023 to 12/2024 I cared for Milan (1) for 5 hours a day, 6 days a week. I was responsible for preparing the bottle, preparing the bath, changing clothes, eliminating gas, regulating sleep, educational games, teaching him to talk, teaching him to bathe, teaching him to eat alone, teaching him animal sounds and soft consonants. From 01/2025 to 05/2025 I cared for Aurora (4 months) for 6 hours a day, 6 days a week. I changed her diaper, burped her stomach and mouth, bathed her, dressed her, and rocked her to sleep.

I have always felt a great love and commitment for caring for children. I am passionate about accompanying them in their growth, being part of their learning and providing them with a safe, affectionate and stimulating environment. I enjoy sharing moments of play with them, since I believe that through play they can develop fundamental skills. I like to learn about other cultures from their language to their most touristic sites, their typical foods and all their history.

From September 2021 to June 2025, I took care of Lywenn (3) and Loelann (7), on Wednesday afternoons and some days after school. My responsibilities included watching over him while he played sports in the backyard, having snacks at 4 p.m., driving him around when necessary, playing the PS4 with him, and making sure he showered and cleaned his room. I also looked after Raphaël (9 years old) and Virgile (3 years old) from May 2025 to July 2025. I picked them up from school, supervised them at the park and on the way home, bathed the younger child and ensured the older one showered, prepared their dinner, and supervised the meal. On some evenings, I stayed later to put them to bed and watched over them until their parents returned. From February 2025 to May 2025, I took care of Emmy (7 to 8 years old) and Maïly (5 to 6 years old). My responsibilities included baking cakes with them (as no processed sweets were allowed at home), supervising their playtime, suggesting new activities, and taking them to the park.

After being a baby-sitter and remembering all the good times with my nephew, the au pair program is perfect to me. Being around children daily and contributing to their development would give so much purpose to my life. I love American values when it comes to family and raising kids. I assisted the teacher with educational activities, supported the children's learning and supervised meal times.
